Starting on May 2nd, Progetto Giovani, youth policy office of the Municipality of Padua, organizes “Active Job Hunting“, four meetings that are meant to offer a basic orientation around different ways of looking for a job using channels locally available.
Meetings will take place at Progetto Giovani office (via Altinate 71, Padova) – “Altinate/San Gaetano” cultural center (second floor). Free admission, for a maximum of 8 participants. The project is particularly suitable for young people facing their first working or training experiences.
The meetings
Wednesday, May 2nd, 11am – 12:30pm
- presentation of Progetto Giovani office, with a specific focus on the Informagiovani area: services, opportunities for young people, useful materials available for our users, how and where is it possible to find job related information, presentation of the website;
- Short introduction of each participant: previous working experiences and professional aims;
- general overview of the Italian labor market and of the importance of education and training, including internships and volunteering service;
- projects and services aimed to help and facilitate the job placement (Municipality of Padua, employment bureau, job agency, recruitment portals).

Wednesday, May 9th, 11am – 12:30pm
- job hunting tools: curriculum vitae and cover letter;
- job interview: verbal and not-verbal communication competences needed to successfully face a job interview;
- interview simulation.
Wednesday, May 16th, 11am – 12:30pm
- individual CV check (about 20 minutes each person), cover letter review/composition.
Wednesday, May 23rd, 11am – 12:30pm
- job hunting support through the use of the internet access stations of the Informagiovani: simulation of the enrollment on a recruitment portal and examples of how to apply for a job, starting from the offer, sending the CV and cover letter
How to partecipate
Registration is required by sending an email to informagiovani@comune.padova.it, stating “Active Job Hunting” as subject of the email and writing your name, surname, date and place of birth, and school certificate/diploma/degree in the email body text.
